Starting Out.
Aha! You’ve reached my blog, and are now hoping to read some insightful, pithy comments about something I’ve read in the news, or some top tips on surviving some aspect of family life which could just turn your day around and make you jump for joy again..? Well, all of this is due to follow very soon, but just for now I’m sorry to say that I am yet to fathom this blogging malarky, and if what I’m writing here makes it as far as my Blog page I will eat my hat. Actually it’s a cap, but who’s counting…
What I can say for certain now is that within a week or so I WILL have got the hang of it, and there will be some reguar updates on life chez Fraser, the house renovation, the latest child-rearing disasters and how I dealt (or didn’t..) with them, the holiday reports and some (hopefully) interesting thoughts and ideas that come into my busy head on a daily basis. If you log in regularly this should, in theory, provide you with some laughs, some helpful advice and some concrete proof that you are not the only idiot out there who finds it rather tricky to cook pasta for three kids at the same time as taking the washing in, answering the phone, telling a child to stop putting lego in the microwave and wondering why your husband is coming home late from work AGAIN – while pretending to be calm and happy about it all.
So that’s it for now – come back soon and see if I’ve sussed it. Jeez…it can’t be THAT hard- can it??

Dear Liz
I’m thrilled to have found you have a website and a Blog! I loved your first two books. They really did make me laugh and provided some very good practical advice as well. So pleased to read you have a third book on the way. Wishing you all the best for it and your Blog and thank you for sharing your lovely family with us in the photo section. Love from Australia xxx
Hi Jo.
thank you for your lovely message, and I’m happy to tell you that A Spoonful of Sugar was published today, and you buy get it on Amazon if you like! It’s my favourite book to date, and if you like the previous two you’re bound to love this one too. Wishing you all the very best from up here in Blighty!
Liz.
Hi Liz
Bought ‘Spoonful of Sugar’ on Friday. Finished by Sunday. Absolutely brilliant. Just wish it had come out 20 or even 30 years ago, but that may have been a bit for awkward for you to write at that time.
I am lending book to my daughter to read, although she has no children of her own, but I think its a book everyone should read, should be in the school curriculum actually.
Thank you so much. A real modern day Dr Spock. From wet Devon
